Got a strange question
ADVERTS 1
I have a customer that wants to put a Harmon Kardin AVR-247 in a small cabinet. The only way to fit this receiver in is to stand it on its end, vertically. Does anybody know if this would be a problem??

From a technical operational standpoint no! (no moving parts).
Will there be enough ventilation to keep it cool!!

The power amplifier heat sinks are made to be oriented horizontially. Mounting the receiver on its end will not allow cool air to drawn in the bottom and vented out the top properly and will shorten the life of the unit.
