Yamaha HTR-6030 Problems...
ADVERTS 1
Hey fellas! Here's the deal... I bought a new (low-end) Yamaha home theater package today, brought it home and hooked everything up. I also bought a PS3 (for the Blu-Ray, naturally) along with an optical cable to connect to the AV receiver. Problem is, I'm not getting ANY sound from the receiver!! I have the HDMI running directly into the TV, and sound and picture are perfect (and I DO mean PERFECT) there. I can change the inputs on the receiver, and my HR20-700 comes through crystal clear as well (through composite, btw).
I've tried troubleshooting to the best of my abilities... without any luck
As of right now, the PS3 is connected using both the optical cable and composite, and the receiver doesn't seem to recognize either one. I'm at a loss, and figured this was probably my best shot... especially considering tech support for Yamaha is closed til morning. Any advice would be greatly appreciated... thanks in advance!!

NM... got it all figured out now. Had a brain-storm, and realized I should probably check out the PS3's audio output settings first. All fixed now
