Sony STR-DG810 or STR-DG910
ADVERTS 1
Which receiver is the better of the two?
Sony STR-DG810 or the Sony STR-DG910. Some reviews + CNET on the 810 tend suggest that the 810 does not have good sound quality.
Quoting CNET below:
The bottom line: The Sony STR-DG810 delivers three HDMI inputs at a fairly low price, but connectivity, features, and sound quality shortfalls spoil the deal.
Thanks for the help!!

I have the Sony STR-DG510 for my bedroom. It's good for me. It's has inputs for 2 HDMI sources. One for my Blu Ray and the other for the cable box. For my family room I'm thinking of getting the STR-DG910 because, with the 910 you get analog-to-HDMI video conversion for sources like a VCR or Wii (PS2) game systems. Since niether of them have HDMI outputs.

I was waiting on the STR-DG910 to drop in price. I ended up getting a new Sony model DG720 last night for $286 with an instant 10% off.
So far all is good.
