A sub is a must for any surround system. You would have to go listen to different speakers to find out if you want new ones. Everybody thinks that speakers sound different so you will get many different opinions about them.

SO Ramy MY old speakers are not out of date and can still work. I have a mirage subwoofer and thinking about putting all mirage speakers up front with the center. Will this be any better .

It just depends on what shape the speakers are in. As long as they are not busted or don't sound distorted in any way then you can still use them. It is always better to match the same type of speakers together as opposed to having mix-matches.
