Will my receiver output 1080P?
ADVERTS 1
I just purchased a new Denon 1909 receiver and I have a question about pass through. I know I can pass through 1080P with HDMI into the receiver and then HDMI out to the TV. But what about component into the receiver? I have an XBox 360 with the HDDVD add-on, but the XBox does not have HDMI. If I do component from the XBox into the receiver and then HDMI from the receiver to the 1080P TV, will it be in 1080P or 1080I?

Per the Denon spec sheet for the 1909 it will scale analog to HDMI 1080p. But you have to turn this on. I have the 3808ci and does this quite nicely.
