Mirage nanosats

What's your opinion of the Mirage Nanosats? Are they the best of the "lifestyle" speakers?

I don't know these speakers. Mirage generally has a good reputation though.
The reason I am responding is that the advertised bottom end for these satellites is 110 Hz. That's actually pretty high. You will definitely need a good sub, and even then, you will need to set the highpass on the sub up as high as it will go, or around 120 Hz. At that frequency, you will be up at frequencies where the sound becomes directional. You will be able to tell where the sub is located, and some lower frequency sounds will tend to move toward the sub.
Probably not a killer, but something you should be aware of.
Also, the speakers will sound VERY bright without the sub, so you would need to budget that as well. At this price point, it doesn't have to be the biggest and best sub, but even something like the smaller Klipsch will increase your speaker budget by $300, and that may be enough to cause you to consider other full range options, where you could defer the sub.

Proud Staff MemberNot changing my sub anytime soon. It is about 10 years old and still shakes the house with clear bass. It a Kenwood SW-35 HT
