Belkin AVR with battery back-up, dead battery?
ADVERTS 1
I've got a Belkin AP30800-10 AVR surge suppressor/battery back-up that hasn't been plugged in for about 2 years... I finally moved into my new house and I can't get the darn thing to fire up. I left it plugged in for about 5 hours and it didn't even register a blip... I'm guessing that the battery is toast.
Any thoughts from the gurus on what I can do with my expensive silver door stop? I guess I'll be in the market for a replacement battery if they make one for this unit...

Yeah if you let that battery die for that long, it most likely needs to be replaced.

Who is the manufacturer of the battery and what are the numbers on the battery?

I haven't pulled the battery out yet. When I contacted Belkin, they ran me through a reset procedure which, of course didn't work. They also told me that I wouldn't be able to replace the battery, which I can't imagine is the case. I'm out of warranty on the unit anyway so, I'm going to pull the cover plate and check the battery info. Will post when I have it. Hopefully, I'll be able to find a suitable replacement...
