    Can I use GPS TOMTOM as a Satfinder?

    I have installed a Satdisk with help of a cheap satfinder instrument and I got everything working, but as it was my first time it was'nt so easy. would it be possible to to use TomTom for finding satelites is there such a software for download? I apreciate all answers i can get Thanks!

    You can use the TomTom to discover your true long/lat just the way it is. The info screen that shows you the GPS satellites available, also shows your lat and longitude. If you're installing a motorized setup that'll at least give you an idea of which satellite is closest to you to start you off. If it's a single setup, you at least have an idea of which way you need to point. The TomTom can be used as a digital compass and nothing more.
