| | | FIOS in Hampton Roads, VA I wanted to start a thread for those of us in Hampton Roads, VA. I'm in Hampton and they ran conduit up to our neighborhood and have "VZN" paint sprayed everywhere. They sent out letters last week to warn us of the upcoming, but welcomed, disruptions in our streets. I can't wait. I know some already have it in this area. I would like to hear about your preinstallation preparations, install and service thus far.

That is cool. I'm still very interested. I'm doing up my wire diagram now while I wait for my cable order to come in. Then it will be time to clime into the attic and start snaking.

they have been in my neighborhood for 2 years but I foolishly went with D* because of the horrid Verizon DVR and the high cost of the tivoHD at the time.

If I was you, I would be quite restless like a kid on Christmas Eve. Please take pics of your install process.
I have been waiting for two years for FiOS to be available. It appears that my montly cost will be $100 cheaper than it was with Cox.

Verizon left the notice on my door today that they would start running the cable and fiber optics in the ground this week right behind my house. I live in southeastern Virginia as well(in Portsmouth, VA - Craney Island is behind the fence in my backyard). How long is the wait between the fiber optics and cable being laid in the ground and Fios TV and Internet being available for purchase? What type of plans and packages does Verizon have? Thanks in advance for all of the help that I receive.
