Forced from Dish to Time Warner Cable to get my hometown Buffalo Sabres Games and the NewYork Yankees. Looks Like I will keep the Rabbit Ears with Tin Foil and a Transistor Radio, handy just in case

I feed the monster every month.
Broadcasters love Pay TV now. They get extra $ from retransmission now. If cable didn't succeed we wouldn't have many of the channels we have today.

One modern day one is "save our food from GMO (genetically modified organisms) contamination" Might be too late there, as well.
