Dramatic population loss among pollinators is a very serious problem.

It definitely is a serious issue that could end up costing everyone a great deal of money at the market if growers have to start hand pollinating plants. I'm interested to see how the European honey bee's are fairing now that the pesticides in question have been removed in the countries mentioned.

Harmful chemicals and pesticides should be outlawed to begin with. Fortunately for us conscious foodies, there is quite a revolution going on right now educating consumers of the effects of chemicals, hormones and pesticides being injected into our food stream.
The alternative? We now have the largest supply and availability of organic foods, farmers and food suppliers than ever before. Hopefully this trend of consciousness continues.

Yes, availability of organic food is larger now but at a bit of a higher cost. It is like they are making money off of having produce on the market that is bad for you.
