Thread: ManGrates!

My old Weber Genesis gasser is about ready for some replacement parts. I debated selling it and buying a new one, but to replace with a new one of same quality would be nearly $700+! Needless to say, I think the much smarter way to go would be just to replace some of the inner parts and make "like-new". When pricing out replacement cooking grates and flavorizing bars, I stumbled across some cooking grates made by someone other than Weber. "ManGrates" they are called and they are 100% American made (just like Weber) and made of solid cast iron. These are designed to sit right on top of your existing grates and are supposed to be great for that perfect sear marking.

In looking at this solid design, they look much better than the cooking grates as sold by Weber. Anyone ever heard of these or have any experience in alternate cooking grates?
