    FastAlignŽ 5100Pro question

    ADVERTS 1
    Hi,

My meter is reading signal levels in -dBm (typically -25dBm) which requires alignment for the lowest value. Is there a way to have the meter display dBuv,so that alignment is adjusted to the maximum readings?

Overall the 5100 is a very fast responding meter. This greatly simplifies alignment over an FTA receiver.

Yes. Absolutely. When in signal search mode, press and hold down the Load/dB button for 3 seconds and each time you do that, the mode will change from dBm to dBmV to dBuV.

Since when in dBuV mode, Adjusts for Maximum reading, and dBm is for lowest lowest value, what does dBmV measure? What should be the ideal reading be for a well aligned transponder signal reading for BER on this meter?
