I live in northern MN and typically get all games on Fox Sports North (ch 436). When I switch to the channel for todays game it says it's not availble in my area. Anyone know why? I cannot find it on any other channel. I did notice on MLB.com that the game is also being shown on the MLB Network so would that block it for dish customers?

I got the pregame on ch 436 in SD....but now its says its blocked in my area also.......so does that mean if the home team is on MLB network (which Dish doesnt carry)...is it blocked on your local RSN ? That stinks........but of course it could be another Dish mess up

I should have looked further before I posted.

Will you miss tonight's Twins game on FSN?

Looks like FSN is carrying more games than before in HD and probably wanted more money in return that Dish decided not to pay. I already have the Everything pack and pay $150 per month for service so an additional couple bucks per month to be able to get these games would be worth it.

Plus the Twins are already down 3-0 in the first so I probably will not end up missing much. Radio I guess.

It is blacked out guys. Sorry, but this is part of the email we just received:

"Minnesota Twins fans may call in regarding the game starting at 5PM MT against the Yankees because it has been blacked-out. This game has been blocked because FOX is asking that we pay for other games that would not be a priority to Twins fans wanting to watch this game. This only impacts customers who are in these markets."

thanks MattG for the quick reply to the question. But I would like to know if ANY game is carried on the MLB network is it automatically blocked out of the local viewers RSN since DISH doesnt carry MLB?

Matt - Can you tell Dish to stop being so flipping cheap? I'm sorry but I think for the $150 per month I spend I should not get gypped on these games. I know you are just the messanger and apprecaite the information but it's pretty rediculous.

I just read this line again and it's TOTAL BS!!! Dish is saying what would be a priority? Obviously talking points to cover their a$$ but I hate this kind of junk.

This has nothing to do with MLB Network so the answer is no. Click the link I provided above and it will tell you the info.

are you kidding me? My grandma calls all in a panic and I thought it was the issue that others have experienced and a reboot would fix it....but nooooooooooooooooooooo

Cheap ass Charlie does what he does best....Screws with the subs and wont pony up any extra money. The Twins moved games from My29 (the Sunday games) to FSN this year. Funny part is the My29 games are on FSN in outstate MN normally.

Gee...looks like alot of people in MN can see the game but Dish subs

Its because the Twins moved 25 or so games from My29 to FSN this year. This is not the 1st time Dish has played this "bull----- Charlie is gonna pay the cheapest rate he can and in turn f**k customers out of games".

Ask the St Louis Blues fans who lost out on 1/2 the games
Ask the Dallas Stars fans who lost out on 25 or so games

Look at the list that is provided. You're talking about cable companies with maybe 200 subs and they get the game yet Dish subs can't

Maybe Dish's new slogan shouldnt be "Dish Network.....dropping channels since 2001" it should be
"Dish Network....f**king with the subscribers since 2001"

Ice.....its like a guessing game with DISH...is the game HD, SD or blocked entirely.........I understand the bandwith issue but why cant the game be in SD even ?

PS.......i did the soft reboot issue also.........thinking it was a guide issue but that didnt work

PSS...at least the Sunday games last year were on MY 29.......so I guess its FS North or nothing this year.

nope. Sounds like Fox wants a few extra cents to carry 34 extra games this year and Cheap Charlie said "nope."

correct. All 150 televised games are on FSN. 8 are on Big Fox GOTW and 4 right now are not televised

DISH WHEN YOU GOING TO DO SOMETHING RIGHT I PAY 150 BUCKS A MONTH I EXPECT TO WATCH TWINS BASEBALL!!! CANT WAIT TIL ALL MY SPORTS CHANNELS ARE AVAILABLE OVER THE INTERNET SO I CAN SAY BYE BYE DISH!!! THANKS SATILITE GUY FOR TELLING ME WHATS GOING ON.I CALLED DISH THEY DIDN`T KNOW ANYTHING.

It's a money issue this time. To me, it's bad enough that you guys can't see all the games in HD, but to purposely blackout games because Charlie is to damn cheap is just unacceptable. I think it's best if you guys cancel Dish and switch if you can because it seems like Charlie is giving the RSNs and the people who watch them a big middle finger. This just makes me furious and I don't even live in Minnesota!

This is ridiculous on Dish's part. One of the main reasons I got satellite was for the RSN, and Fox and Dish are constantly playing these games; and I am tired of getting caught in the middle of this. When my contract is up I will be cancelling my service.
