Tuesday's Playoff Schedule.....

Well, that is that. The one thing that excites me about the Braves is how young they are. The future is bright.

Once again, here is a team almost everyone was picking to go far because they were in 1st place all season long except for one day. I thought they would give the Dodgers a much harder time. This is why you see Turner Field 1/2 empty in late September when they are heading to the playoffs. Braves' fans have the routine down-pat. They don't get too excited because in all likelihood the team won't survive the 1st round.

What did Vinny say? "Isn't it amazing someone can do when they can't bunt!" or something like that...
This is like the 5th time this year Mattingly has had Uribe bunt in a situation where he represents the go ahead or tying run. He only succeeded once. It doesn't really matter how many times he succeeded, the issue is that he is the last power hitter in the lineup and thus the last guy that is capable of tying the game or giving them the lead with one out. If he did bunt, then they would have to rely on a rally to take the lead.

The past, present, and future. One legend to another in the making

This was the series I felt strongest about. In order of confidence, I picked the Dodgers, Red Sox, Tigers and Pirates in the LDS.

I would rather see the Dodgers face the Cards...and I would bet they feel the same way!!!

Yep. You never want to face a team that nobody expects to get very far and that every win is an accomplishment. They basically have nothing to lose.

Brian Wilson pitches a scoreless 8th for the win and Juan Uribe hits a game winning HR in the playoffs. What a Giants fan dream.

Should be interesting to see if anything happens if Balfour gets into the game tonight. With the Tigers facing elimination and Balfour being his usual boorish self, tempers could really flare up!

Nah, they have two World Series championships in the last four years to keep them warm and fuzzy! ;)
