Man, when the Sox won their first World Series in 86 years back in 2004, I thought I FINALLY heard the end of "1918" when it came to the Red Sox. No more the price of bread was.... ,the president was....., etc. Now here we are 9 years later, the Red Sox are on the cusp of a championship, and the 1918 talk is starting all over again. Only this time it's in relation to the last time the Red Sox won a World Series at home.

Ok, so WIN it this year at home obviously then you don't have to hear about it anymore !

The Cardinals need to win two games in Boston to win the World Series. Over the last 60 years, only three teams have won Games 6 and 7 on the road in the World Series.

1958- Yankees over Braves
1968- Tigers over Cardinals
1979- Pirates over Orioles

Any citizen not watching the World Series is a commie who should have their voting and gun ownership rights revoked IMO. And they should be properly beaten about the head and shoulders...with proper headgear to prevent concussion, of course. ;)

I don't watch if my team isn't in it.

I heard it will cost you $1,000.00 just to get standing room tonight at the game. Seats behind home plate are allegedly going for $7,000.00. If the thing goes to tomorrow night those "choice" seats will allegedly go for $10,000.00.

Farrell said on WEEI that the Sox lineup tonight will be:

Ellsbury
Pedroia
Ortiz
Napoli
Gomes
Victorino
Bogaerts
Drew
Ross

Perfect!!! I was hoping Farrell didn't go away from the Ellsbury/Pedey/Papi top of the order, that he used in Game 5. The only thing I wished was different is Victorino batting 9th, that way you could also have Vic and Ellsbury back-to-back.
