Thanks I posted this the other day in the Pub Members area. 
And no I do not expect them to offer local forecasts inserted like people remember from The Weather Channel on cable.

the station is also a subchannel in some markets where there is a "local forecast" but note depending on the day (and probably the station) its usually outdated.
Here in Minneapolis its on KARE11-DT2 (which is ironic as Weathernation is based in Minneapolis...and run by the former weather dude) and the same "local forecast" is shown from 7AM until 3:50PM. At 4:00 its different then there is one around 9:30.

here its the same way too....radar is up to date. Just the reports are in some cases grossly out of date
My 361 channel is completely missing. I go from channel 360 to 362 . Use to be the 361NUTv that was between Fox News Channel and the Weather channel. That channel is no longer there at all zero channel 361 I called Directv tonight about the missing 361 channel and they told me there was never a 361. I said it has been there all along until I noticed it gone today. They had no exclamation for it other than maybe it was part time channel or a channel that comes and goes. I am going to call them back.
Its not available to customers yet, which is why you do not see it.

I'm unfamiliar with this channel, but if it actually gives the weather forcast, and not travelouges, stories about the Coast Guard, melodrama about storms that were over decades ago, and happy talk left over from the Today Show, welcome.
Other than the required E/I programming (since it mainly is a OTA subchannel) it shows just weather
I cant wait and competition for the Weather Channel will be good!!

The Weather Channel hasn't done Weather in ages.
That why I said that to maybe they will start doing weather again and get back to what it is supposed to be weather!!
