DISH Expands Amazon Alexa Voice Control Support

Having troubles setting up Joey's. Setup is Hopper attached to Harmony Remote in living room with a Joey in the bed room and office. When I link the office devices and speak in the office it works on the hopper but not the joey. Have tried disabling/reenabling and rebooting the echo devices. Any suggestions?
So you have selected the correct Dish and Alexa devices in the Alexa app? If so I would try to disable the Dish skill and then set it all back up from the start.

When I link my Joey to alexa, I don't see my echo listed to choose. I see reverb, 2nd reverb, 3rd reverb and amazon apps.

Do I need a dot or another echo to connect to? Can I use my echo for both my hopper and joey?

I have deleted as well as enabled/disabled the dish skill and repaired it but reverb seems to be my only choice. It works, but I have to unlock .my phone, open the reverb app and hold the button as I speak. it is easier to use the dish remote.

That is your problem. It is a 1 to 1 relationship. You link a single Dish receiver (Hopper, Joey, etc.) to 1 Alexa device (Dot, Echo, etc.). The reason is that you would typically only have one of each in the same room. So when you are in that room you say "Alexa go to ESPN" (or whatever command) and it just changes the channel in that room.

Can you post screenshots of how you have it setup in the Alexa app? That just doesn't make any sense.

Try "Music, Video & Books" then the Dish Skill and then select Manage and Link Devices. It will have a list of your linked devices. Here you can link and unlink devices and "Link another device". Hope this works.

Hmmm. I'd like to close my garage door remotely. Not cycle it, close it regardless of which position it is in.

Anyway of doing that without replacing the actual motor/drive assembly?

That is too fuzzy for me to read when I zoom in. Are the Echo and Dot controlling the opposite devices you want or are you saying that one device doesn't do anything on either receiver?

If you have a fairly recent opener that has myQ support you can add a Liftmaster Internet Gateway. Mine talks to Alarm.com but it can also be controlled by an app on your phone.
