My cable provider is Comcast. I have digital service and HD package
I have a MOT 6200 HD box. I mainly use the box on my new Samsung 3251 via the DVI out connector on the DCT6200 to my HDMI In on TV. The VOD works fine, the menu/info/guide buttons when pressed work fine.

I have another TV I've tried the box, viewing channels works fine but VOD and menu/info/guide buttons do not work. The second TV is older and only has a cable input. I therefore use the coaxial in and coxial out connectors on the DCT6200.

When I press the VOD button I get two small screens on the top right and bottom left of my TV with some guy talking about VOD from comcast. I never get the VOD menu to choose movies. The menu, info and guide buttons are also useless. I see a light flash on the DCT6200 when I press either the menu, info or guide button but info for current channel or the guide never appear on the TV screen. The menu button also does nothing.

I've read in someones posts that the coaxial out on the DCT6200 is analog and wonder if this has anything to do with it. None of the MOT manuals indicate this information.

I did have the DCT700 box on the same TV at one point (before my wife made me take it back to save money) and the VOD, Info and guide worked fine. Someone Please help me understand what's going on and if there is a way to use the DCT6200 on my second set and have the VOD, Info and Guide work !!!!

I've never heard of this but my best guess is calling Comcast to see if the box at least has an IP adress and a lock on the SeaChange VOD server at the least. Also it should work fine the way you have it connected. I'd almost be tempted to bring the box to your nearest Comcast office and swap it out for another box. I just have this feeling the box is bad and I don't mean just the hardware of the box being bad. You could very well have corrupted software on the box. I'd say swap your box out and if this problem still persists I would schedule a service call as at that point I'd say its sometype of signal issue.

I swapped the box out and it resolved the problem. The menu, guide and info work when I connect the box to my older TV via the cable in and cable out connectors now. Comcast told me I probably caused the box "trauma" by moving it from one TV/cable outlet to another. I didn't realize the DCT6200 was so delicate
