I have a Hopper 1. Trying to access On Demand and getting an error message saying that Internet Based On Demand is not available in my area. And sometimes it will say that my internet connection is not fast enough to support On Demand. (Current internet speed is 28meg). Also received message that the receiver is unable to connect to the internet server. (Checked the network devices on my laptop and the Hopper is in the list of connected devices) I've done the internet reset twice. I tried unplugging the Hopper for 10 seconds. Nothing worked. I've never had a problem with on demand before. I still have access to everything that I recently downloaded. Anyone have similar issues?

Are you connected ethernet to the router directly?
Or are you using a dish internet connection box?

Have not tried resetting the internet router yet.
Connected through Ethernet directly to router.

You need to try and reset the router.
I would unplug hopper , Router/Modem if a combo.

If seperate unplug all 3.
Then plug the Modem in first, let it fully reboot.
Then the router if not a combo.
Then let that fully reboot.
Then plug in the Hopper.

Then give it 10 minutes or so and try again.
Buy you may have to wait 12 to 24 hours for it to be fully functional.
If that doesn't work you may want to talk with someone on how to configure your router.

Unplugged the router to reset internet connection. Still getting Internet Based On Demand not available in your area.
Did increase internet speed to 39meg though.

Thanks, I'll try that when I get a chance. Waiting on Scott to post Hopper3 request thread before I can do anything else to my internet connections.

I guess Scott's running late. Another 45 mins to wait. Wife is on her laptop now so I'll have to wait before I can do additional troubleshooting. Thanks for your help. I'll post results when I get a chance to do more. Or maybe I'll wait til I get the H3 and not worry about On Demand stuff to after it's up and running.

OK, called my daughter and had her check the on demand on her Hopper. She is getting the same messages as me. I suspect something's up with our internet provider possibly blocking Dish downloads (she has the same provider as me). Not sure how to find out for sure. Internet provider is Suddenlink.

I'll check when I get home.

Update, Dish said the code I'm getting indicates that my receiver is located outside the United States. Called Suddenlink tech support, she didn't know what was going on and would have the locale tech personnel contact me. Just got off the phone with locale tech. Apparently they recently purchased IP addresses from Canada, so Dish thinks my hopper is in Canada. Suddenlink engineers will have to contact Dish engineers to have the new addresses added to the "OK" list. Hope to have On-Demand back up by the end of the day.

PS While on the chat with DISH I asked her about the Hopper 3. All they know is it should be out sometime in the next 30 days.
