    Dish in the office

http://commercial.dishnetwork.com/ the specific packages, channels, and prices are at http://commercial.dishnetwork.com/content/public_private/programming/packages/index.shtml You would need a commercial account and would qualify as a private viewing location.

    Billing type question before ordering

That price looks right to me. Are you buying the receivers or will it be an upgrade to leased receivers? I think leased HD receivers are at $5.99 per month now. As for the installation, the separators can only be used on dual-tuner receivers, so you will probably get a Dish1000 and a DP34 switch.

Home Distribution via 942 TV2 Out and a DPP44 Switch - will this work?

This diagram is pretty similar to what you are looking for I think. It doesn't show a switch but you shouldn't have to mess with that anyway. Just put a splitter somewhere in the TV2 output line. http://www.solidsignal.tv/dishnetwork/DISH_Pro-DISH_Pro_Plus_Diagrams/DistributionExample1.pdf

Call from the Audit Department.... what's next?

Somewhat related, does anybody know what Dish does if you don't have a phone at all. No land line and no cell phone. I know it's unheard of to not have a phone, especially if you are subscribing to pay TV service before buying a phone plan, but maybe somebody just doesn't like talking on the...

Senate Committee Rejects Cable 'a la Carte' Pricing

The quote I used in my last post was from Senator McCain not a member, although I guess he could be a SatelliteGuys member for all I know. Anyway, the category I am putting them in is people who have retired from the workforce, aka retirees, specifically those in Arizona who are represented by...

Does Pole Come With Standard Installation?

Most retailers that I've dealt with do charge for pole mounts, usually $50-$80. Also, some include cable burial with that and some do not, especially if the pole is far from the house, maybe a $1/ft. If they do charge and you are looking to save some money you might be able to install the pole...

Senate Committee Rejects Cable 'a la Carte' Pricing

I agree with Van, what the heck is up with that remark? He is saying he agrees with the proposal but votes against it anyway. So, next time he'll be able to muster the energy to circle yes instead of no? There must have been more to it, or maybe they were using some of those Florida ballots...

Call from the Audit Department.... what's next?

Good discussion everyone, seems to be a very debatable topic. As for the analogies, I don't think any of them really fit the unique nature of satellite. Satellite service is designed to be able to be used anywhere, that is the nature of not having a network of cable set up. Does anybody have...

    129 trouble calls

Agreed, with this part. I had to remove the "Sorry buddy" because it's not him you should be sorry to. If you know it's a known issue and not the installers fault don't call them out to fix it. Dish should do something about the problem but having a tech come out just to tell you what you...

    Commercial account pricing question

What kind of business is it? It sounds like some sort of office in which case it should just be $5 more per month for each receiver you want to add. MDU is generally for businesses that have people staying for extended periods of time such as apartments, hotels, or hospitals. These accounts...

    Finding 110 & 119 W

Don't worry about the phone line, it won't affect your setup at all. If you are getting some signal but it is for the wrong satellite I agree with what garys & korsjs said, make sure the mast is plumb.

Former customer looking to come back

I believe when a new DHA account is set up you pay $50 down and get $50 back on your first bill. Former DHA pays the same $50 down but receives no $50 credit. Other than that and no ClubDISH referrals, new and former DHA promotions are the same.

What is the smallest dish i can get...

I wonder, from Dish Network's point of view, if you park your rv at a campsite, are you camping or rv'ing?
