Just reporting back to say thanks. Tried 3 different apps, two I didn't understand too well but the winegard worked great - I guess I'm a visual person and actually pointing my phone to see where the satellites are worked great - above the tree line so should be ok. I calibrated the compass...

But do you think close enough to give me a rough idea that the treeline is below. I'm fairly certain it is but just want to be sure. Like if the treeline is many degrees below where one of the apps show the satellites are at, we should be ok, right?

We are going to have our dish relocated from the roof to an existing pole about one foot to the east of where it is and approx. 10-15 feet below. I already contacted dish on cost so I'm good with that. BUT, I wanted to see if there was an app or a way to make sure the dish will work from that...

Not happy with Dish, still no update on this issue and now my auto hop isn't working. What the hell are they doing? I've done all the normal things in hopes of it being fixed but no such luck. Can't imagine BOTH hard drives would be going at exactly the same time. Both my receivers are doing...

For approximately 2-3 weeks now I've had a problem with skip forward and pause on my hoppers. Not a hopper 3, I guess a 2? My remotes are 40.0. Here's what's going on - I have two hoppers, if I access and watch a program from the opposite hopper when I press skip forward to go thru...

Hmm, I don't think I waited a full minute. I will give that a try tomorrow when stuff isn't recording and see if it clears up. Glad to see that I'm not the only one.
