OK, I checked.; My DPP44 switch is some kind of dark grey color on the sides and lighter color in the middle. It also says UL on it. So, that means I have a new version and can use for the grounding?

the prolem I am seeing has spread to 2 russian channels now, TVCI and RTVI (probably broadcast by the same guys). Unfortunately, it is not dependent on type of content: movies or talk shows...those tiny vertical lines of the color of the feed are visible no matter what..just sometimes more than...

I wonder how long Dish can get away with doing this? Maybe until enough people complain? Is it fair that they ask us to pay the same price for those international packages when the quality was good on 148, but now it is much worse on 118, but same price?

I tried 2 different receivers with the same result.

I wonder if this helps. I checked a different international channel on the SAME transponder as the one that was causing me problems, and it looks just fine. So, what do you think is the problem now? Can it be the dpp44 switch maybe? But how does it explain that all the other channels are fine...

Guys, I have dish 1000+ with dpp44 switch. I have a grounding block along the cable, but the problem is that it is past the switch (I added the switch just the other day). So, how would I ground it now because at the switch the cable "splits" basically, so there is no straightforward way for...

that makes sense. I wonder if Dish plans on "resolving" this issue somewhat, e.g. moving it to DBS again or decresing the number of channels on TPs for current ku band? All in all, they should know that the quality is pretty unacceptable...if they care :)

any idea what green bias is?? I hooked up my second receiver, and it was doing the same thing. So probably it is not the receiver. I agree about the signal strength. I have some channels with lower signal strength on those tps as others that are higher, and their pq is much better.

I think this totally makes sense...the compression problem on the Dish's end.
