Solved it! Some how the TV2 got put on a different channel (presuming the one that tv1 is on). I just happened to check and changed it back, and everything good to go.

Remote2 can do volume, turn tv on etc.However, its not controlling the satelite side anymore (cant go to guide, pressing menu etc doesn't work),can't press select to turn on tv. On the your receiver is currently off screen its showing as TV1. Havent been able to get on/use tv1 to check...

Something has happened, and now the TV2 remote is no longer controlling the dish on TV2. It can still control volume, input etc but can't do guide, go to dish menu etc.Anything that happens on TV1 is now showing on TV2.Any ideas? No settings have been changed on either TV.

reprogrammed the dish remote so i could get volume redid the learning process so i could get the input button to work again yet again, input works and volume along with up and down, and a couple of other buttons no longer work

I did that, im having to now back track and refix what got screwed up in the learning and reprogram the dish remote

Basically - learning the input in TV mode has now somehow left me inable to use both the volume up and down buttons on any mode.

Ah I see the problem on the dvd remote the volume buttons are 1 button on the dish the are 2. meaning i cant program that. though i seem to have now lost the ability to use both volumes on dish remote after programming the input button.

Got input to work, and now the remote dislearned how to use volume so I have to relearn that. Is there an easier way to do this or do i have to manually check every button to make sure it didn't get dislearned upon something else being learned?

I don't want the remote to control the dvd player etc obviously, I just want to be able to use the input button to be able to change over to the dvd player, wii etc. wouldn't learning make the dish remote control everything? I was able to do this with the same dish remote on the old tv.just...

Well, I've wasted less than 10 minutes of my time as im just now getting back to it from when I posted it 8 hours ago.I made no mention of Hopper, no one in any post asked if I had hopper.So the only time being wasted has been on started assistance under the assumption i have Hopper.

Exactly, if I had hopper would have specified or posted on the hopper form.

All I am asking is where to go. You are saying Settings - Remote Manager I just listed every menu option on the Dish, No Settings or Remote Manager I am saying neither of those is there, Has nothing to do with me liking or not liking something. Just checked my tv menu as well, no settings or...

on the dish menu there is Program Guide Themes and Search Customer Support Multimedia Locks System Setup Daily Schedule Preferences Dish on Demand Cancel under none of them is settings or remote manager
