Dalbrit,you could check the satellite guys classified's there are usually 811's in there for less than on e-bay.Garypen has one for $150.00 plus shipping,check it out. ;)

I've had my 811 since march and overall it has been a very good receiver for the money.Rebooting now and again can be a pain but not that bad. At least it's not as bad as a PC. :D

KWCASH,I live in Glendale and I haven't seen any changes in Channel 15. They still have the 3 digital feeds,15-1,15-2, and the news on 15-3.If they dropped their power levels I can't tell.If they don't answer your e-mails give them a call.Hope your problem gets solved and good luck :)

We got the update today in the Phoenix area.The guide shows info for most of the digital channels but only some of the analogs.I have to admit I really like having the digital channel info,especially on the HD PBS station, because they have different programming than the analog PBS.I have'nt...

Try using the page up key for changing aspect for HD and the page down key for SD on your 811 remote instead of the * key.They changed it with software release 2.80. :)

ljlove welcome aboard, I live in Glendale and with my 811 and my 6000 channel 12 and all of my OTA channels have a lower audio level than the satellite channels. So I would'nt worry about that either.Enjoy your 811 and the Olympics. :)

I have noticed the PQ is better on SD channels also.Except the Travel channel it always seems to look grainy,maybe it's just me. :)

I tried running my vcr thru the external inputs on my 811 when I first got it back in March,have to admit I was not very impressed with the PQ.You can try your dvd player, but I don't think it will improve your PQ."IMHO"

Listen to what Simple Simon is telling you,it can't be that much of a hassel to disconnect a few wires and a cable and put it in your car and reconnect at your cabin.Think of the money you will SAVE.

I've had my 811 since March, and it's hardware revision LADD.My question is do any of the newer hardware revisions I'm seeing in this thread work any better or have a better picture than ours with the older revisions?

You might also want to call your ABC and PBS stations to see if they are having any problems.I saw the same thing late last year with my CBS and PBS affiliates and both were having equipment problems,so it might not be your 811,good luck.
