I have 2 c-band dishes. 8 foot Sami dish with polar mount and motor and a 6 foot Unimesh with a stationary mount. Already on the ground, no digging needed. 1 mounting pole included. I would gladly give these to anyone close enough to come get them. Due to health issues I will not be using them...

I tried calling Directv again. This time I got a CSR who understood the problem. Got 2 RC71's shipped to me at no cost. Why would the installer leave RX65X remotes when every retail site I have been to states that the RC71 comes with the HR44.

I just called Directv and they want $15for the RC71 to correct their mistake. Installer should have know the remote would not work in rf mode. I not going to pay for their mistake. Not a good way to start our business relationship.

I finally made the switch from Dish to Directv. Got HR44 and 2 C41 clients. All three have the RC65X remotes. I can change the C41's to rf. On the Genie the rf option is greyed out and can not be selected. What am I missing?

Just to update this thread, the HR44 is available in the Nashville area. Got mine with 2 c41 clients yesterday. I signed up online. My installer said that if you sign up with Sams, Costso, and similar deals you may get a HR34. So beware. So far working fine.

Do the regulations on mounting to brick vary from location to location? The reason I ask is because there are at least 4 Directv dishes mounted on brick within 2 miles of my home. These were installed in the last year on new houses.

I am about to signup with Directv. How does the On Demand compare to Netflix? Selection, picture quality. One more question, will Directv still mount the dish to a brick wall? Don't want roof mount.

Still no answer on Nashville. Can anyone help?

Can anyone confirm HR44 is available in the Nashville Tn area? Need to know before I sign up.

Did your sign up form have a place for comments on the online form? I want to sign up but must have receivers specified on the form. I want a hr44 and hr24 and 1 client. Just want it on the sign up form just in case they bring the wrong receivers.

Just wondering what is the preferred way to signup. Online, call, or with a local retailer. Can you do the referral online? One more question, do the clients have there on list of recordings? Thanks for comments.

Starting to look like I would be better off to give these 2 dishes away and try to pickup an old Primestar I've got my eye on. Any one near middle Tn that would like to have them? 7.5 Sami is a polar mount with actuator and feed. 6 foot Unimesh is a fixed mount, I think I have a feed for it as well.

I have a 7.5 Sami and a 6 foot Unimesh not in use. Thinking about using one for Ku only. How would they perform compared to a 1.0-1.2 offset dish?
