Cox 8300 HD-DVR I got the Cox HD service and a HD-DVR (8300) when Voom folded. I also have Dish and have a 522 DVR with that. The 8300 seems every bit as good as the 522 plus of course, it records in HD or SD. Very satisfied with it and Cox PQ.

I have DVI out to my Sony (It is digital) and component out to it also. I switch back and forth and have never seen any difference whatsoever. I was also expecting a big difference with the DVI cable, although I don't see how anything could provide a better picture... It is excellent.

Switched to Direct TV for comparision. Direct was normal and OK. Voom has short horizontal interference lines and a really poor picture. Not complaining! Just sending this so maybe someone can check out root cause.
