    I didn't realize DTV had that much in debt. Sorry, what I meant by adjust the pricing with the merged streaming services if they stuck with the DTV via Net pricing they wouldn't get huge subscribers. They would leave after the two-year price lock expires.

    I wonder if an investment group would want to buy both DTV and Dish, and put them together? Or both AT&T and Dish would just sell both of them off for parts? They could keep the satellite part going until 2035, unless more customers even leave the new company? Then shut that down early if it...

    I actually wanted DTV and Dish to merge. Maybe they would have done a new hybrid server that ran both and it would have Google TV built in? However, not sure if they would have more channel contract disputes if Ergen was in charge of the merged company.

    It's interesting that awhile back most were thinking Dish was going to buy DirecTV.

    Would declaring bankruptcy allow Dish to back out of that deal to build that new satellite? I wonder how far along they are in building it?

    I think the only way to get the two HR-24's is to buy them. Would DTV even activate the HR-24? DTV would send out either the HS-17 or HR-54, Mini's and the new Gemini with built in streaming apps for new installs.

    I guess you are worried about if the server goes down you would lose your recordings? If not, you can use the DTV app as backup until a replacement server would be sent out.
