For what it is worth ,the dish hd dvr is as close to tivo as you can get without stealing tivo technology. Oh yeah, tivo is suing dish for that very reason.

Directv has only one dvr fee but you have to pay a lease fee per box.I have three dvrs and only one dvr fee

I am switching to Dish.I can not see upgrading to a hr20 without the dual live buffers.I love my Directv service but feel like they screwed me by making a dvr sub par to the hr 10 250.

Can anyone help me here.I need 1 622 and 2 625s.My understanding from another thread the lease fee is waived on the 622 , fees apply for the 625s5 bucks each .Now do I have to pay 3 dvr fees also.With Direct you only pay one dvr fee

With the dvr advantage you have to commit for 18 months.I live in Atlanta .the satellite industry is changing pricing all the time.I don't want to be locked in to a long contract.

I would like to know how you got that info ,as of yesterday Dish told me three receivers three lease fees three dvr fees.I am trying to find out if there is a way for them to waive some of the fees

I am also trying to work out a deal with Dish .I need 3 dvrs It is almost 50 dollars for the fees and lease,thats before the channel package .Anybody got any ideas.

I agree if you are used to Tivo and all of its features the hr20 will be a ajustment.Yes there is still issues with the hr20 but it is getting better.If you check out other sites and blogs you can read for yourself.

Dish does not have tivo but they are darn close . The vip622 is as close to tivo you can get.It has all of the features my hr10-250 has and even more and it is much more reliable than the hr20.I have used a Dish dvr and it preformed awesomely if there is such a word.
