Dish Scapes on 199 is interesting

Dish is sending this at a bitrate here of around 6,400kb/s. It does look nice!

Didn't the late great VOOM have a channel just like this?

    ViP211z No Output

I fixed my VIP211 [R5000 modded] as well, what a relief, working perfectly now. Dunno for sure about a cap problem in the 'K'.

    Dying VIP211k

If all else fails, your problem may be the dastardly notorious VIP211 component: Capacitor C1382

    ViP211z No Output

Capacitor c1382 [and possibly a few others] is a common failure source in VIP211 that are randomly crashing.

The OFFICIAL DISH / HBO Thread

The other thing that really sucks is that those lost channels were the cleanest presentation on dish's entire line-up, with absolutely no channel bugs, banners or other advertising crap.

What channels do you want in HD?

I'd like Showtime Beyond (SBYND) in HD. The newest Dish .pdf channel guide does indicate it's available in HD on ch. 323, but it's only in SD on my VIP receivers here in the NYC area. Anyone know why? Everything else comes through okay..

Statement from DISH - Not Getting the New HD?

Can anyone tell me if the new movie channels (indie, etc) have the channel logo/bug on screen full time?

    Thomas T. Goldsmith Jr. 1910-2009

Somewhat off topic... He lived down the street from me when I was a kid. His son was a great childhood friend. RIP. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/15/arts/television/15goldsmith.html?_r=1&ref=obituaries

    Reply from DN concerning VOOM

Even MGM-HD is extremely disappointing, with the 24/7 bug onscreen. Some might argue that J6P likes that, just to remind him/her which channel they're tuned to. :(
