When you say it will function do you mean as a DVR? I'm assuming that you would have to program it like an old VCR, or would it be able to use TVGOS data to populate the guide info? Its good to hear about the tuner section as that would have been a very odd omission.

Yes I ran e2fsck. It didn't find a problem with the super blocks but when I ran the other test using the previously found super block numbers it did correct some apparent errors. It still didn't work on my 722 however. I don't remember seeing any folders on the Linux machine but being a Linux...

Same here. Tried the Linux fix but still no go. I can transfer new programs but can not see any of the existing ones. I have a 500gb drive that was almost full! If the Linux trick doesn't work am I just screwed? Everything was working fine until I got the L622 "Upgrade"!!:mad:

Thanks. I guess it pays to look at the whole guide sometimes! DOH! I always liked that channel. But not enough to pay for the top tier to get it. Oh well, I suppose I can enjoy it during the free preview then bye bye! Absolute forever for me!! Or until Charlie decides to take it away. :(

Has anyone heard if the 922 will be able to tune an OTA channel when it has lost it's sat. signal?

CES 2008: XStreamHD Satellite 1080p media system - SlashGear 1080p and DTS-HD MA sound. I hope it turns out as good as it sounds. Then it really won't matter what dish, or the other guy, does.

There are several SD only channels that you don't get, ie. MTV, VH1, E!,.... etc. plus others. For me the ones I no longer receive are not worth the extra $24 or so I was paying to have anyway. For me it was a no brainer. Why do they call it an HD only pack? Who knows, but I can't complain.

Actually with the HD only package you still get the SD version of the HD channels as well.
