    ABC East, Channel 86, not matching NY7?

    The HD feed on D* comes from ABC-DT in NY the HD digital channel. The HD and SD channels from ABC NY do not always match.

    Just for the record my hd10-250 works fine with hdmi=>dvi. Always has, still does with the f update.

    VOOM gone OTA here

    While the Locals that come from the Direct TV satellite are not in High Def, your box should be able to receive them. (I don't know what model you have, but I have 2 that do) You will need to hook up your antenna to your Direc TV receiver. Unfortunately the installers do not hook up OTA for you...

    And oh by the way the X-BOX does HD (720p) now. All you need is the correct adapter/cables.

    D* picture quality not as good on some.... but not anywhere near as bad as some would have you believe. IF you are lucky enough to live in an O&A market you get ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX in HD. The main HD channels are HBO, Showtime, Discovery Home theater, HDnet, HDnet Movies, and Universal HD...

    SONY and VOOM

    The SONY HD STB's (HD200, HD300) where rebranded units manufactured by LG Electronics (Korea) The same units where sold under the Zenith brand as well.
