How do I find out what my dish coordinates are? Under settings it says something about scanning local channels. Will I benefit from doing this? Thank you

Do I smell sarcasm? LOL I have the VIP211. It has an ethernet port but Ive YET to find a reason why it is there.

I have had a quite a few DD channels since I signed up in April.

Sorry if this is a subject that may have been discussed but I am a still new here. Why do we not have On Demand for all channels? I was at my brother in laws who has Fios and was amazed he can watch almost any channel/any show On Demand. Why dont we have that?

Hanover - welcome to the club! I signed up last march and I have already seen 2 price increases. Whoopee..starz free for a year. If I wanted Starz I would already have it.

Does anyone know why it wont work on the 211 even thought there is an ethernet port? What is the port for on the back?

Ok so I did. I bit the bullet and added my EHD to my 211. I tried doing the Dish N Up and they wanted a 100 bucks. Plus another 100 to install something I could do myself. I figured this would also save me $ monthly. Can someone tell me how to set it up so I can fast forward through...

I have to say I am upset as well. I signed up for Dish in a bundle with my phone company last March. I never once spoke to dish. Only the phone company. They told me I would pay "this price" for the first 2 months and then "this price" for the first year....well..yeah..I am still waiting to see...
