Also started with the model 3000. Purchased from Sears. Installed myself on the roof using the RCA chimney mount kit. Still up there but swung over to 61.5 now. Threw away 4 or 5 old receivers long ago but kept the JVC D-VHS combo recvr-vcr. Now using 3 722s and 1 622.

Must be an older receiver using the "old" signal strength meter. I get readings similar to that with my 4900.

Had no interest in a 922 until I read your post. Hmmmmmmm. I wonder if anyone sells a 12 port hub? :rolleyes:

I have a WD 2 TB "Elements" EHD with about 320 recordings so far, and have yet to have any problems with it.

Anyone remember or ever have the D-VHS model? Mine was the JVC brand. Paid $750.00. Was supposed to be upgradeable to handle HD, according to a full color page ad in Video magazine which prompted my purchase. Never happened though. Still have the receiver(not connected) and the copy of Video...

Something must be up with the receivers. Last two days got a notice that I've never seen before. "Complete Signal Loss" was the heading. Or it may have been "Total Signal Loss". Should have paid closer attention. Sky was totally clear yesterday. No problems with my 4900 connected to the same...

I did the same last year with Starz. TMC used to gook great. Early this year they added "the bug". So I also canceled the Showtime pack. Would love to get rid of MGMHD and save a few pennies but it's forced on us.

I use the same setup but with the 3LNB adapter (holder) using the center location. No good at fabricating. Aimed at 61.5. Using a 24" single lnb dish for 72.7. Then I run both outputs from each LNB to two DPP33s giving me the option to run up to six receivers. SS 15-20% higher.

I hear you. But it still bugs me. Worse is cutting into movies BEFORE they're over for "up next" banner. As for OAR, they can't touch HDNM. One recent film on Retroplex actually switched back and forth between center cut & full 16X9 during the showing. Checked my recording of the same movie...

Don't even compare HDNet Movies with the worthless Encore or "Plexes". HD Net Movies does not have an intrusive ch logo nor do they add a "coming up next" banner before the end of the movie!
