I watched it in HD on a channel in the 90s (don't remember which one) here in Texas. The UT game game came up next in HD, but as PPV. Didn't want to spend the bucks, so watched UT in SD.

The only resolutions that are HD are 720p and 1080i, so choose one of those formats to output to your HD TV (whichever one looks best to your eye), or enable all resolutions in the H20 that your TV accepts and set the H20 for "native", and it will output whatever resolution the broadcast source...

Also, mitch, be sure to set it up as a pvr, and the activity "watch pvr"

Just go into the HR20 menu and enable cc.

You do know you won't get any mpeg4 with the 3 lnb dish, right? You'll need the new 5 lnb dish for mpeg4, and D* will probably install it for free. And you'll also need a H20 or HR20 receiver for mpeg4.

I'm in Angleton and have had problems with 11-1 since day one. I have audio and video drop-outs with both H20-600 and HR20-100, even though signal meters show 98%-100%. To top it off, closed captions experience same drop-outs and intermittent service. I even experience closed caption problems...

Fortunately, no problem here.

As mcbeevee said, you need a line from the dish for each tuner (dvr=2) so yes, you need 3 lines. Retire the 3x4 multiswitch, as it will only allow access to 101 satellite. Run 3 direct lines from dish (as you have been correctly told it has a built-in 4 output multiswitch). Seeing all 3 sats...

OK Charper-I THINK he is saying he wants 4:3 displayed with pillar box. If so, then he can set a HD receiver to do this. If he has a SD receiver, as you say, there is no setting for this, and then, as everyone else has said, the only option is to tell the TV to display 4:3 with pillar box.

D-10 doesn't have OTA tuner. It's only a pass-through to allow OTA to reach TV when the D-10 is off.
