There is no "native" function with these boxes so there is a conversion happening regardless. If you select 1080i and are viewing a 720p station the television is converting and vice versa. Pick your poison.

Not sure how your boxes work but I am able to choose what mine output from 3840x2160p (recommended),1080p, or 1080i.

Last I checked they were still available. Box is capable of producing 3840X2160p 60Hz 4k with HDR available. HDR is either on or off and quite frankly I don't care for how the boxes do HDR.

I would not enjoy Stream without an Air or Osprey. For me direct channel tuning is a must. IMO the apps on AppleTv, Roku, etc. are way too tedious. I purchased some of my boxes directly from D*, others I purchased from FB marketplace. You are taking a chance when purchasing from Ebay or FB...

Thank goodness that option is still available on the Stream side. I agree that Direct's HDR is horrible. I tried it for 2 minutes during the College Football Championship and switched back to SDR.

Was going to ask if Bally Sports Oklahoma 674 was available via Satellite (it's not on Stream), now I notice that Space City Home Network is in the guide on 674 and appears to be a Houston RSN.

If you are referring to the Gemini/Osprey the option to turn OFF HDR still exists.

Received and activated. It appears you can no longer order a "new" gemini/osprey box. The only thing listed for order for my account are used/refurbished.

I own several osprey/gemini boxes. I would like to purchase a gemini air for use in my vehicle while traveling. I tested using a hotspot from my cell this am and it works perfectly. No reason it shouldn't work while going down the road.

With all of the confusion of internet vs stream I have a question. Can a current STREAM customer order and use a Gemini Air device?

I had D* satellite for 30 years and switched to D* Stream about a year ago. I also had local cable tv for years as well as a rooftop antennae. I would put the picture quality of D* Stream up against any of them or any other provider.
