I wouldn't be surprised either, however they'll have a LOT of negative advertising if they do, before I left EIU for Christmas Break the Champaign/Springfield stations were airing ads non-stop about the bill all in the negative for it.

Living in IL I can assure you the Satellite Lobby is fighting this bill hard! although frankly, this bill has been tried at least 3 times, and until they force Cable to service EVERY address in the state this bill will never pass through the State house.... reason being, too many downstate...

I agree something is whacked, every county around us has locals from different DMA's to the north it's the Central IL locals, to the east, the TH locals, to the South in Wayne county (the Rinard address you used, and Clay City's zip has addresses in wayne county too) it's the Evansville locals...

I for one think it is totally stupid for local broadcasters that they charge cable companies to show their signal, when that in most places you can get the station over the air (except here in Flora, IL where we are in a DTV dead zone from all surrounding markets for OTA) for the insanely low...
