It's the same mentality: my job is to develop software, if it is ever matured, I'm out of a job, so we must constantly be adjusting and "improving" the software. Dish should be concentrating on debugging and improving performance, not change for the sake of change.

Sorry guys. They added "features" we did not ask for and removed things we liked. Software developers do this all the time. I remember from the early times of Word Perfect they were always rearranging the menus, moving things around so you had to virtually relearn the system or at least parts...

AS for the HDR flag, at least on my pre-HDR Samsung UN65JU6400 4K TV, it plays all 4K content from the 540 Dish channels with no problem. On my H3 I often had to record a 4K channel and watch as it was played back at the same time, so the output from the Joey 4 appears to be less restrictive...

Mine kept flashing a blank screen about every 45-60 seconds audio was not interrupted. Only about 1/2 second long but irritating. The Joey 4 did not seem to exhibit this quirk.

Not really, if the connection is tenuous extreme cold can shrink the center wire enough to pull it back from the connector. Make sure your stingers are adequate.

Could be the center wire in the cable shrinks back away from the connection in cold weather.

I had a stack of 500MB to 2GB internal hard drives that I swapped around between my 211s. While they were not attached, nobody could delete anything.

That would have essentially made it a 722. Don't compete with yourself. Back in the VIP622/722 days we had a 622 and two 211s. We could (with a bit of difficulty) swap the HDDs between the 211s (sneaker net).

I guess I am one of the "lucky" ones and I have given Dish an earful about their new "improved" guide. It looks like the only thing improved is the size of the preview image. They moved the description to the top and more than doubled the size of the picture, so what had to go - Oh just lop off...

This is on my wireless Joey 4. Is the lady that helps with Dish problems still on the forums? I spent about 45 minutes talking with Dish support about how much worse the "new" guide is than the original one. I have left complaints with several dish employees and perhaps if we let them know...

Ranges published by manufacturers and/or sellers of TV antennas are mostly speculation and sales pitch. The beam width is inversely proportional to the antennas range, the longer the range, the narrower the beam width. This site (HDTVPrimer.com) is old (circa 2003) but it gives a good primer...
