That describes me. Very unhappy about it, especially since one of my schedule recordings got lost over it.

I have H-24's, HR-44, and a genie mini. It is a slimline dish, only a few years old. What took me so long to get back around to replying was finding time to actually turn on a TV! The error code is 727 "Program not available in your area" and the channels are: 4 - WRC 5 - WTTG 7 - WJLA 9 - WUSA...

If you are going to the Genie and Genie Minis, you will have issues with the connections. The Genie Minis are very small, and as such only have HDMI output.

Thanks, that is what I remembered. So, right now I have one DVR (x2 tuners) and four receivers, for a total of (6) tuners. If I upgraded to a Genie, that would add three tuners for a total of (9), requiring a SWM 16 upgrade. Does the internet connection also take up one of the SWM outlets?

I believe that was part or all of the problem. Now that there is nothing on the DVR, perhaps that is why the box is working again? Is it possible to swap out the drive, or will an external drive be a possible work around? Is the issue most likely a physically failing hard drive?

It looks like that resolved the issue, at least for now. It has been rebooting and repairing errors several times over the last few days. When it would finally seem to be working I would turn the TV on just to find that it was stuck on whatever channel it was on and would eventually...

Interesting, I am having similar issues with my HR24. We left for a long weekend last Tuesday, and since return Sunday the box has barely worked. It has been rebooted/restarted/error corrected multiple times, and I am came back here looking for help. Is there any hope that it will iron itself...
