    Anyone in the Los Angeles area just lose their local HD channels? Getting a 15a error. Unplugging did not help. Network channels are showing in HD.

    I'm going to think about this. AT&T Fiber is rolling out in our area. Might get a bundle with U-verse or DIRECTV.

    Just got off the phone with Dish. $100 for the upgrade. $95 for the tech visit. Waived if I add the protection plan for $8 a month.

    I'm thinking about it. I know it means another contract for I believe 12 months. Do I just call Dish and ask for a Hopper 3? Will it be mailed or does someone need to come out to replace it?

    I don't have any Joeys. The current UI has become very slow. Rebooting the box is not helping. I was thinking maybe the Carbon UI would have better performance.

    That's great news. Any time frame? I'm seeing post going back to January regarding Carbon UI. Year is almost over. I might just follow Scott's post at http://www.satelliteguys.us/xen/threads/dish-hopper-carbon-ui-testing-forum-please-read.356679/ and download the beta version.
