    Random Hopper Duo Questions

Thanks, that's good to know! Totally agree about missing the 4x fast forward. Just another reason I miss the 722.

    Random Hopper Duo Questions

Thanks so much for the reply, and the good news! I was devastated when I lost all my recordings on the 722, but I do have at least 3 EHDs around here somewhere, so that's good to know! Glad I can pick up that Bluetooth adapter on Amazon. While I don't have prime, I do always make sure to...

    Random Hopper Duo Questions

I've had the Hopper Duo for a few months after my 722K bit the dust, and haven't really delved into all that much. The strangest thing is how the DVR can be 40% full, then all of a sudden be at 80% the next day, even with only one or two new recordings. Also, is the Bluetooth adaptor Dish has...

    722K Failure; Need Advice

I've had this 722K since 2010, and have had no problems. I had it on one day last week, and walked back into the room to see the "starting up" message and nothing taking place. Reset didn't help. Unplugging didn't help. After unplugging it for several hours and plugging it back in, there is...

problems with dish vip722k dual dvr

It's 2020, and I was trying to set up my other remote on my 722k for the first time in ages! I was getting nowhere until I read this post concerning the Modulator Setup. When I went there, the TV 1 Out mode was set to "off" for some reason. I switched it to "air" and voila! all of a sudden I...

Anyone else cutting back their Dish service due to lack of sports?

There is no way we are going from where we are now to packing arenas/stadiums anytime soon. NHL & NBA might as well come to grips with that and move on.

What I've learned after 6 months without Dish.

Oh, I get that. I've got tons of stuff saved on my DVR and a couple of ext hard drives that I'd never want to lose. I'm just running low on space available at this point (I've got a 1TB ext hard drive coming soon), and I've been so relieved to have this Youtube TV subscription that was given...

What I've learned after 6 months without Dish.

Yes, indeed, the DVR familiarity is one of the main things that keeps me with Dish. A friend let me have one of his six Youtube TV subscriptions last summer, and it came in real handy when we lost the regional sports networks. The main thing I like about that is the limitless DVR storage, and...

    Regional sports channels

I think you're right! A friend let me have one of his 6 Youtube TV subscriptions last summer, which enabled me to still watch Cardinal baseball. He was thrilled to hear about the extension today (as I was), but I told him I seemed to remember that extension for Dish lasting less than a week...

    From 722 to Hopper Duo

Thanks so much for all that great info! Things are still up in the air, but I've got to make a decision very soon. I'll be in touch.

So if I HAD to get a 3TB or larger, it wouldn't make any difference? I've just never done that with anything larger than a 2TB since Dish had said that's the limit.

    From 722 to Hopper Duo

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. I sure wouldn't want to lose all that stuff.

    From 722 to Hopper Duo

Okay, thanks. I just need to run the signal to one TV for now, but I need to look into those Joeys at some point. I was sometimes frustrated with not being able to run a second high def signal (with the second tuner) to my other TV from the 722.

    From 722 to Hopper Duo

Back to one question I had in the original post. Would they just send me the new Hopper? I assume there's not much involved for me to set it up on my own.
