From DISH - SuperBowl 4K Info

8k is officially dead now. Even LG has announced no more 8k TVs will be made. The Human eye can't see a difference anyway from 4k to 8k unless you sit right up on the screen and who does that anyway?

DISH Has Made it Impossible to be a VIP211k Owner

So no Euros, your sh*t out of luck then. ;)

From DISH - SuperBowl 4K Info

It did after DISH took over the broadcast of them and Voom stopped being a satellite company any more. They were nice when they first started and then DISH compressed them to save bandwidth and the movies repeated all day and then they sucked and then they were dropped.

    Dish guide

Damn, that is hard to read. Have to turn my head sideways to see it. :biggrin

From DISH - SuperBowl 4K Info

I remember the whole True HD 1080i with Voom and we had it for a while till DISH bought the channels and then reduced the bandwidth and reduced it down to basically 720p and stacked the channels so you had 8 channels on one transponder- before mpeg4. Then the Voom channels went under...

Traditional/Streaming Live TV Providers Losses, 4th Quarter 2025 Edition

I have T mobile phones but my area doesn't get a good enough signal to have their service at my house. But Verizon and ATT might come in if they offer 5g. My personal experience with 5g its not all that. I often see my phone drop back to 4g on a regular basis in certain areas.

Traditional/Streaming Live TV Providers Losses, 4th Quarter 2025 Edition

I know why Spectrum is losing internet subs. Yesterday I lost my internet around 12:29pm. I called the Spectrum number and the automated computer voice told me that several customers in my area were down and spectrum techs were on the site fixing the problem and no idea when it would be back...

    The Rookie: ABC

8 seasons is about all I can take and he is supposedly only 5 years older according to the preview for next weeks show. Where the Captain tells him if he moves to Washington police department he would have to start all over and the Rookie says: " I can do that" and the Captain says: "You are...

    Guide differences

Yes, according to my friend who still has the joey 4s and plus unit. Nothing has changed there.

    Joey 4- Netflix

My buddy has a Joey 4 and he said the problem you describe happens on Paramount . Times out and says no internet connection. The other apps seem to work including Netflix.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy - Paramount+

I liked it for the most part, except the "hippy 60s" thing with no shoes and the way she lays in the Captain chair. I found that kind of stupid, uncomfortable and disrespectful. You would never have seen Captain Janeway of Star trek Voyager pull that crap.

    110 stating not locked

LNB Drift, or lnb is failing or the dish isn't locked down and is moving in the wind. Maybe a tech visit needed.

    Stranger Things 2, 3 & 4 & Five

Considering the Covid Pandemic interrupted all our lives and we are still dealing with the aftermath of the pandemic with inflation, I can see why it took so long to finish the story. I think they did a very good job of wrapping up the whole story and everyone got a good ending. I felt very...

    NCIS: Tony and Ziva, Paramount+

Grey's Anatomy is another one they can cancel, as far as I am concerned. It has been on for 20 years now.
