Signal drop with 1000.4 (getting half of what I was getting before) Can't peak above 32

As stated in the title, signal strength has dropped with the with 1000.4 I was getting around 60 and now I I am getting around 31. I can turn (left/right and up/down) and see the signal completely drop and come back. The max I can peak sat 72 is 32, with sat 61.5 & 79 coming in at about 30 also...

Trouble finding satellites with 1000.4 EA

Help, I cannot get my 722/211 receivers to pick up any signal from the 1000.4 EA dish. I am using a DSC120+ sat finder which is getting signal (lower ATT to the lowest) and fine tuning lowered and I am getting a good signal with that. The DSC120+ is connected on port 2 with the 211 powering...

Question about pointing the eastern arc dish

I am in the process of pointing the eastern arc dish (1000.4) and I am confused on one thing. The instructions state that if your peaking meter does not output 600 mh, to power the lnb on port 1. I am using the DSF120+ peaking meter (no power output) and keep that on port 2 (72.7) and connect...

Question about the WS International DSF120+

I just got a WS International DSF120+ satellite finder. Can someone confirm that the dial on the side is a volume control. When I rotate the dial, the volume increases/decreases but so does the signal strength on the display... To me that sounds like the dial is to fine tune the signal...

Got my replacement dishes (1000.4 easter arc & 118.7 Dish 500+) Do I need support legs?

I got my replacement dishes (1000.4 easter arc & 118.7 Dish 500+) to replace the the two Dish 500 (61.5, 110, & 119) up at the cabin. The masts that came with the units are the long ones. Am I going to need the two small support legs to keep these things from swaying? Also, any tips or links...

What do I need to do to hook up a second tv to a 722

The channel 3 thing is a kick back to VCR days... I noticed that the Home Dist on back of the reciever had channel ~20 to 64, went through all those channels on the old TV but nothing came up so I reverted back to "it must be channel 3" notion. The only user manual I have is for the 211 and...

What do I need to do to hook up a second tv to a 722

I have a 722 hooked up to a HDTC via HDMI... I was under the impression that to hook up the second output to a standard TV, I would have to connect a coax cable (RG6) to the "Home Distribution coax connector on back of the 722 and connect that to the antenna in on back of the TV. Tune to channel...

Can someone explain why I the need for two dishes.

Because of the whole Secure 3G card thing... Can I point the 1000.4 at 110 and 119 and continue to use the single pointing at 65.1... Then when I get the card, re-aim 1000.4 at the EA satellites? Are the LNB's tuned for particular satellites... From what I am guessing, they are otherwise...

Can someone explain why I the need for two dishes.

Thanks Tony for the SuperDish explanation.... What about needing a 3G smart card to get the eastern arch satelites?

    What HDMI Cable?

You don't need to spend allot to get a quality cable (contrary to what the boys at BestBuy who are pushing Monster tell you)... Get it from monoprice... Additionally... HDMI 1.3 is a spec for devices to communicate with each other (features and such).. The cable is the same between HDMI 1.0...

Can someone explain why I the need for two dishes.

What about using spilter so that I only need to run one wire to the 722.. Will the 1000.4 support that? Additionally I was reading another thread regarding the eastern arch (only got to page 6) but will I need a new 3G smart card to get the eastern arch satelites? What consitutes a Superdish...

Can someone explain why I the need for two dishes.

Well, i was going to use the Westing house HDTV that I got cheap for getting DishNetwork at the cottage ( at least until I get a new plasma for the house and take the rear projection HDTV up north.) Would getting the SuperDish (1000.4) and using that at the house so I can get a cleaner look...

Can someone explain why I the need for two dishes.

There's one for sale... at Solidsignal .com... Just search for 1000.4 Looking at it, it looks like I would then lose satelites 110 & 119. Looks like I will need to retain two dishes... Also, I have seen allot of talk about people setting up dishes at their cottages/ camp grounds. I take...

Can someone explain why I the need for two dishes.

We just had DishNetwork installed at our house... 3 receivers (one 722 and two 211's) going through a dpp44 The installer used two Dish Network 500 dishes with two LNB's pointing south west and one LNB pointing south east. Myself being inquisitive, why is the one dish pointing south east...
