My FiOS has a land line function. They charge for it, and then credit off the cost. So I might as well keep it. Handy for providing a phone number to folks you don’t want calling your cell.

I had an owned Joey 1 (original, made of molasses). With the H3 I wanted to get a (then latest) J3. CSR refused. I said you are replacing owned equipment. She didn’t care. The most unpleasant conversation I ever had with a Dish CSR. Got no J3, certainly not owned. And they TOOK THE OWNED J1...

I was quite happy with my ViP722 boxes. Came to appreciate the HWSes that replaced them. Then I got the Hopper 3! Very happy with it. Pretty much the only reason I stay with Dish is the greatness of the H3 and the remaining recordings on it. Lost almost all EHD recordings.

I’ve got every Dish remote I ever had, back to the 301s. Wasting space.
