My Hopper 3 will shutdown (picture and sound gone, light on Hopper still lit). It restarts on it's own after a few minutes. Does this while watching sat channels or Netflix. Any ideas what can be causing this? It's not getting hot (had that problem with the 722 so I checked that.) Not sure if...

I made sure the Hopper was off, but the joey may have been turned back on after I went to bed (joey is located in spare bedroom and is being used by my mother, she may have turned it back on). I'll make sure it's off tonight and see what happens.

Another day and still don't have u303. Is the Netflix audio available through Bluetooth from the Hopper? That's the main reason for me to want Netflix through the Hopper since my TV doesn't support Bluetooth.

I found a way to get around the home screen start-up. I set the standby timeout to off and only turn off the TV and leave the Hopper on. But since the Hopper 3 still has to shut off every night for the update, first thing in the morning it would come on at the home screen. So, set up an auto...

Tech arrived at 4:00 and finished at 5:51. His first Hopper 3 install. Everything when smooth. He changed me from WA to EA (said they've been doing that to everyone in the Kansas City area for the last couple of years). He wanted the remotes but I kept them. He said DISH charges them $7.50 each...

I was PM'd by Sam around 10 CST but wasn't able to respond back til after 1. We went back and forth for about a 1/2hr then he quit responding (must have went off shift). I called DISH and the CSR set me up for Sunday afternoon install.

Programs that I know I wont get to in 8 days I select save series and they show on on the DVR outside of PTAT. I moved everything over to the EHD last week prior to Jan 28th. Programs that recorded since then I transferred over to the HD but for some reason they didn't show up in the list of...

Any self powered (plugs into the wall) 2TB drive should work. Get a USB 3 drive and the transfer back to the Hopper 3 will go a lot faster.

I've got most of the recordings transferred to the EHD but some of the PTAT programs that I saved won't transfer for some reason. I'll try to see what I can do tomorrow and post my findings here or see if a more appropriate thread would be better and post it there.

Has anyone that already have the H3 tried to transfer programming through the Ethernet connection. Any problems, and can the PTAT recordings be transferred?

I didn't notice the . but I tried both ways (mydish.com and my.dish.com) they both worked.

Just checked and the mydish.com web site is back up.

My DIRT member also disappeared during the conversation. I called DISH and got everything that I was quoted by DIRT (Sam H). Took less then 5 minutes and I'm set up for Sunday 12-5 install. Free upgrade and free tech visit, had to add protection plan. Already PM'd Sam to let him know.

Had to replace my 722 a couple of times due to fried hard drives. First time didn't know about the heat issue. Installed a fan in cabinet with the first replacement 722. When the fan quit working (ran 24/7) the second hard drive followed a few days later. Haven't had any problems with the Hopper 2K.

I was in an online chat with DISH this morning. She asked if she could help in other ways, so I asked her about the Hopper 3. All they've been told is that they should be available in the next 30 days.
