The Canadian wildfire smoke at the northeast Virginia uplink area, as I understand it, on numerous days per NOAA, doesn't seem to be the cause. As I've tried installing the mux on seemingly smoke free days and at the same time cloud free days on my end.

What are suggestions for receiving the PBS Mux at 99W with a 37“/94cm dish? I’m receiving PBS Montana at a regular quality signal of 75% to 90% during the past week, 62% at lowest--commonly 86% to 90% during daytime hours. But, I have yet to get the PBS Mux trying the install numerous days...

Out of curiosity, would it be feasible to try multi-lnbs on a larger than 4' for Ku-band? Tried? Or, multi-mounting-smaller dishes-to-the main dish, side-lobe smaller dishes-to-the main-dish, with multi-lnbs on the dishes? :) One mounting post.

My setup hasn't been affected by "rain fade", to 125W.

Would it be worthwhile to waterproof-coat the whole device, then get coax connector rubber-washers? Or, are the switches even too delicate for hail?

I'm not very familiar with DiSEqC switches. Widely used DiSEqC switches aren't water resistant or waterproof? Being familar with commercial coax splitters myself, aren't there more resilient-water-resistant DiSEqC switches made, and that have waterproof-rubber washes at all wire connections--or...

esdwa didn't state how far the installation would be from the ocean. If within 5 miles how long would a metal dish last? May want to install a non-metal dish.

Correct me if I'm wrong: The "Deep Standby" terminology seems counterintuitive. Seems that would "Deep Standby" the receiver into OFF with no power to track the timer either. Seems to me it should be relabeled to like "Allow connected devices to sleep and awaken".

What spec or capability allows receiving OTA to the mio 4k via these Hauppauge models? Like do other non-computer tuners allow this?

And, clean by other common scanners of the domain name and site IP address. Seems to be problem on Xfinity end.
