Dish : How to add a 5th TV (3rd HD Receiver)

You're 3rd receiver will need its own cable run from the dish. You cannot "split" from any of the existing runs.

    Newbie help

What I'm getting at is this: Do you and your wife have "remote wars" from these rooms, or does it seem that you are winning the war every time? The 612 can send signal to a second or more "mirrored" tv's, so they watch what you watch and the remote can be carried to those rooms because its...

    Newbie help

Could you clarify? You have a 612 on the primary tv and a 612 in the bedroom? You have a 222 in yet another bedroom? 612 is for 1 tv, 222 for 2 tv's. Please clear this up for me and I can help.

    Want a job? (Littleton, CO)

Amen to that, brother! :hatsoff: Sad story is, wages have gone down and down, cost of living up and up. No company gives a crap about cost of living increases. Unions turned themselves into jokes. Guess its up those those of us who actually do the work to figure out a way to make it pay...

    Troubleshoot LNB

One day had a receiver all plugged in ready to go, everthing but the sat cable. One hand on the receiver, grabbed the f-connector to hook up. WOW:eek: Got my world lit up! I keep remembering that event everytime I use the tongue technique (yeah, I still do) and wonder what if???

    Cinemax for a penny?

Talking to a CSR the other day for an activation and she told me that customers signing up for paperless billing can get a year of Cinemax for a penny a month! Anyone else hear about this? It's supposed to be available for the next 2 months.:)

    HDMI Took a Dump

Has anyone seen a similar issue with the 622 where the picture just goes black momentarily (no sound either) and then comes back? Does this every several minutes. Several techs from our office have been out on this one. Receiver replaced once, HDMI cable also replaced. Same issue between 2...

    Cancelled Dish, disposed of LNBF's

There would be no need to lie. Merely state that "I did not put them where they are, I will not remove them unless you take liability for leaky roof, wall, personal injury etc". Neither D or E want that stuff back. If it stays on a house, building, whatever...they get a small billboard on...

    HDMI cable with 722 install

Yellow/Red/White cable is RCA not component. And it will pass lower quality HD. Hook it up and watch Equator then turn to a local SD channel (don't tell the customer your testing my theory) and they will be floored by the difference (if they're not HD experienced). Yes, S-video with red/white...

Don't run Check Switch during bad weather??

My suggestion, check all connections between 211 and the dish with the dual coax coming out (your terminology is correct) Start inside and work your way out. Check tightness first (finger). Be sure the copper core (conductor) is not corroded (this would be primarily an exterior issue if it...

Screwed up my homes Sat System on Thanksgiving, now I'm in hot water!!

Perfect sense! Run the line to the 311, perform the check switch, check signal strengths for each sat (I'm assuming 119, 110, and 129 in your area) until you have a lock on each, cancel out and the receiver will do a download if needed and you'll soon be watching tv.:)

    VIP722 - HDMI cable included?

No HDMI No HD receiver I've ever installed, including the 722 ever came with anything but rca's and s-video in the box. HDMI's and/or component were supplied by the company I worked for and came with a price tag for the customer.
