About 8 eight years ago when they had lots of distant locals it was the 5 dollar charge which discouraged changing - then Charlie wanted us to get Nashville channels for sports but it was too late - no more distants by a new law.

NY - numbered 241, 243, and 247... Yes mine have switched ( I don't qualify for ABC but that should be changed with final June transition to no analog OTA) so I have channels 2, 4, and 5 - picture quality seems a bit better. Note I still don't get DISH network just All American Direct...

@ Des Moines, I could be wrong, but I think analog 17 and 23 are gone also.

I can't help with "moving" but I still get all american direct.com (no DISH) which is seemless on my older dish receiver - have 3/4 networks for 10 bucks a month now.

So early on Thursday morning I ordered via the internet the s-ds41c , 4 X 1 switch and I received it Sat. afternoon from Sadoun. All I had to do besides plugging it in was set the software on the receiver to the 4 way diseqc switch. Only 2 lnbs/sats are hooked up but may use all 4...

HEllo, My 2 stationary dishes are changed to new satellites every once in a while (not real rigid) so if one set in place for 6 months with all the weather it would probably be a record for me - (that's good in my opinion)! (my record maybe 4 months).:up

Just want to say my 3abn dish is different and it's over 4 years old - and didn't have the problems you did - mainly "Peter" problems with sore back, moving it many times, and being lazy with regards to solid pole mounts not cemented down...:confused:

I'd put the 36" back on pipe over (flooded) storm cellar to get 30 degrees west - hispasat c. It's right at the horizon (between zero and 5 degrees elevation) and I inverted the dish before - but they have nice floor shows on one of their channels where the Spanish women "forget " to wear...
