Yup... hey they can still DVR 16 channels of junk at the same time. Done here, off to watch sports on my new provider. That provides channels I want.

I'd have paid whatever for Mav.. for Boston sports.. for whatever channel is dumped next. Make it al la carte... I'll pay for whatever you wanna charge. No issue at all. Make it not available, I'll look elsewhere.. even after investing in the "best hardware". The dish defenders are blind.

Ummm.. reality check... ultimately it's up to the "provider" to provide the channels. You're so sensitive that you call others "ignorant" and wishing them to cry... bwaa ha ha.. Lost in the fact of trying to keep costs down that if they don't provide channels that people want.. they'll look...

If you can get by without ABC & ESPN I highly recommend Fubo! Works on every device and no receiver fees.

Yup.. just keep on telling people that are upset over dish dumping channels that they're ignorant. I've refrained posting the I've left dish thread.. it seems to upset people. I was a 15 year customer that paid my bill before due date EVERY month. I've not renewed as of last month ... and wow am...

Right, of course. Let's wait to hear from the OP. I had HD on every quad and sports mode would not work for me on the DPH42. Never. Not once. Every time I tried I had to reboot my hopper as described by the op. I'm not new at troubleshooting. The second the hardware was changed the issue...

Yup. I've ran into this. Sports mode wasn't usable for me with Hopper 3. Let me guess, you're running a hybrid switch ? DPH42 ? The problem went away when I changed hardware and went with a EA Hybrid lnb.

Agreed! Love the no commercials .. gotta have surround sound so toggling back and forth... The HD broadcast on 150 looks unusually crisp this evening.. Wish all "HD" was like this ...I'd care less about 4K
