    Antenna Too Far Away

sam_gordon, Been too busy to do much on this. I will ask Dish about it when time allows. Reason for thinking it was an antenna problem was it looked just the same as it did when I was on OTA only. Just got Dish again early last month. I can say at least with Dish(Hopper3)it can tolerate the...

    Antenna Too Far Away

    I will look into that.

    Antenna Too Far Away

WOW! That is a lot of information on how local channels get to Dish. Much more of an involved situation than what one would think. I will give it an attempt to contact the local station and see what happens. I have a bad feeling that it is going to end up being a typical "pass the buck"...

    My future with Dish

Since you mentioned spectrum TV, I can through in 2 cents of info. The TV is OK, but the DVR is a TOTAL pile of crap. If you record many of your shows you are going to miss most with a two channel recorder!

    Antenna Too Far Away

A question was answered a time ago that Dish gets local stations from a fiber optic connection or from an antenna. OK. Well, when one of my paid for OTA station has far too often break ups, Dish must be using an antenna for that channel. Question now would it do any good to complain to Dish...

    Interesting stop playback problem.

Pause works just fine. But that does not stop the playback. . I will try the power button and see what happens. . I did discover that doing a pause and then changing channels does stop the playback and not the recording. . Since the reason for stopping the playback is because I have to go do...

    Interesting stop playback problem.

I discovered something that did not happen when using my OTA and computer system. Now with Dish, this is an interesting problem. I had a recording running on the today show. Recording from 7 am to 9 am. I started watching the recording about ten to eight. After watching for about one half...

    OTA Channels and the Guide

Well that sure covers the subject. A lot of involvement when it comes to channel guides for sure.

    OTA Channels and the Guide

Thanks for the info. 99% of the time I do a search for something, I get 200-300 answers and 90% of them have nothing to do with the subject. I almost never have any good results with a search.

    OTA Channels and the Guide

Is it normal for some of the OTA channels to not show any guide information and others to show full info? The ones that are not showing info only display the station call letters.

DVR Shows That Are Not There or......

The latest problem with Dish anywhere came up and I followed what it stated on my phone screen when I attempted to watch a recording. The message stated my firmware was out of date, call dish. So I did and they looked everything over and said the firmware needed updating. Three days old and...

    Local channel, bad pickup.

Well that is a bummer. I guess Dish needs to move their "pickup" antenna closer to my NBC station.

    Local channel, bad pickup.

I have been a "cord cutter" for about 4-5 years now. I was getting my local channels from NBC and CBS. Don't find much to look at on ABC, but it was there. Finances have changed in the last year or so and I was having problems with pickup of my local ota channels. NBC would break up and I...

    Hopper3 Manual

That is nice. More stuff to read. Even though it is an older version with the touch pad, it still has things to read about.

    UHF Only, WHAT!

I wish I would have purchased two when I got my remote. You and others will get a good giggle when I state mine is a Philips Pronto Pro TSU7000/37. IMHO it IS the best remote ever made. Because you set it up the exact way you want it to look. When it dies I think I will cry for a while.
